I have spent my entire adult life “yo-yo” dieting. In June of 2019, my weight hit an all-time high. I was absolutely miserable in my own skin and decided I was ready to do something about it.
I went to my first class at Little City CrossFit on June 29th and by the end of December, I had lost over 20 pounds. However, I noticed my weight loss was starting to stall as I had made very little dietary changes. I decided to join the January ATP Nutrition Challenge as several of my friends have had great success with this program. Little did I know that this was so much more than another “diet”.
Prior to the challenge, I only looked at calories in and calories out. I ate/drank whatever I wanted as long as I stayed within my caloric limit which left me feeling bloated, foggy and unsatisfied. I had no concept of “macros” and how the right combination of nutrients could help me feel so much more energized, alert and focused.
Coach Dani taught me so much about what my body needs for optimal functioning. She was quick to respond when I had a question and recommended alternatives when a certain food wasn’t quite the right fit for me. I have been blown away at how satisfied I am with this new way of eating. Sure, I still have an occasional craving, but it is not “all-consuming” as it has been in the past.
Through the weekly customized meal plans, frequent individual check-ins, and genuine positive reinforcement, I was able to lose an additional 10 pounds and 4% body fat in 6 weeks!
If you’re looking to make an investment in your health, ATP nutrition is by far one of the best options out there. My only regret is that I did not sign up sooner.
