I started ATP Nutrition and Wellness 7 weeks ago. I made the decision to begin this journey because when I would look in the mirror I absolutely did not like who and what I was seeing. This is only the beginning of my journey. I wanted to get back to doing what I love, running and training for triathlons. The last few years have been difficult health wise. I finally was able to get an abnormal heart rhythm corrected and then got the clearance to get my knee surgery after suffering a very painful injury last April. Over the last 3 years, I have gained nearly 40 pounds which has caused me to lose my endurance and muscle to the point where I didn't even recognize myself.
Over the last 7 weeks, I have seen changes in myself and it's not only in my appearance. My spirits have truly been lifted. I believe the physical changes are just a bonus, which I am seeing them too!
The key to sticking to this program is taking the time to prep and plan for the nutrition I need to fuel this journey. I also take the time to lay out a plan for fitness activity. I am firm believer in WRITE IT DOWN AND DO IT.
I am an analyzer and like to visualize things. I made a chart that includes my weekly weight and measurements. If I only looked at the numbers on the scale, I would have given up in week 3. This plan is helping me to build muscle and lose the inches, not just the number on the scale. In 7 weeks, I have gone down a total of 15 inches between the chest, waist, midsection and hips.
I can't measure my face, but I think the pictures show a significant difference. Anyone even thinking about wanting to improve their health should definitely get with Coach Danielle at ATP Nutrition and Wellness. Just remember, "It’s about the journey, not the destination."
